Iran Ambassador to London Hamid Baeedinejad meets staff and students at Persian Studies Depertment of Cambridge University, the UK.
Writing on his social media page about his Friday visit to the Cambridge Persian Studies Dep., he said, “A lovely whole day in Cambridge to meet Persian Studies' professors and scholars as well as visiting libraries collecting rare manuscripts.”
Persian has been studied and taught at Cambridge for many years by eminent scholars, including E G Browne, R A Nicholson and A J Arberry. The UK university's Persian Studies Department also dedicated a great deal of research on the Persian language and now enjoys excellent resources in Persian studies.
Being one of the most sweet-sounding languages across the global, Persian draws nationals from various countries to become proficient in the language of great Iranian poets such as Sa’di and Hafiz.
